One-of-a-Kind Wall Work
A meditation on balance, gravity, and quiet stability.
“Equilibrium I” is a one-of-a-kind wall work handcrafted in the KalaRara Roma atelier in Rome. The composition explores the tension between mass and balance through a series of simplified geometric forms arranged in a precarious yet stable structure.
The surface is created entirely using MicroCristallo Fusione — a layered glass technique developed within the KalaRara Roma studio. Finely macerated Murano glass crystals are fused into a luminous field that captures and refracts light across the surface.
A series of colored forms appear to rest upon one another like stacked stones or geological fragments. Their arrangement suggests a delicate equilibrium — a moment of balance where gravity, weight, and placement coexist in quiet harmony.
The shimmering glass crystals create subtle variations in texture and color, producing depth and movement as the viewer shifts perspective.
Entirely handmade in Rome, “Equilibrium I” functions as a sculptural wall work designed to introduce both visual rhythm and calm architectural presence into interior spaces. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming its one-of-a-kind status and studio production.
