The chairs stand on tapered stained wood legs, a hallmark of Gio Ponti design in the 50's. From their inception these exceptional vintage Italian chairs were constructed with the highest level of quality. The chairs are constructed on a wood structure, the seats are constructed on 8 way hand tied spring, the standard of excellence in mid-century seating, and are very comfortable. They have been thoughtfully restored in our studio and are newly re-upholstered in a taupe incised Italian satin. These armchairs have been attributed to Gio Ponti, Italy, circa 1950.
