“THE CONVERSATION: MARK & ROY” ONE-OF-A-KIND NESTING TABLE WITH "MicroCristallo Fusione™" TOP
A Triptych in Form and Function
“THE CONVERSATION: MARK & ROY” is a one-of-a-kind nesting table designed and made exclusively for KalaRara Roma. Conceived as a sculptural dialogue between abstraction and pop expression, the piece functions as both collectible design object and versatile furnishing.
The composition consists of three individual tables forming a triptych structure. When closed, two Mark Rothko–inspired surfaces sit side by side, creating a unified chromatic plane. When opened, a third Roy Lichtenstein–inspired table emerges beneath, transforming the piece into a layered visual conversation.
For maximum flexibility, each table may be used independently as a side table, allowing spatial adaptation without sacrificing conceptual integrity.
The iron bases are hand-forged and polished with a deep black patina, creating structural contrast to the luminous surfaces. The tabletops are realised entirely by hand in MicroCristallo Fusione™, giving depth, texture, and light variation to each composition.
Entirely handcrafted in Rome, Italy, this sculptural nesting system merges contemporary art reference with material experimentation and functional design.

Designed and handcrafted in Rome, Italy.
