One-of-a-Kind Circular Wall Work
A meditation on emergence, elemental matter, and the formation of worlds.
“Primordial Origins II” is a one-of-a-kind circular wall work handcrafted in the KalaRara Roma atelier in Rome. The composition explores the moment of emergence — where elemental forces begin to organize into form.
The surface combines MicroCristallo Fusione with gold leaf and layered acrylic, creating a luminous dialogue between darkness and light. Deep black fields suggest the vastness of space or primordial depth, while flowing vertical forms rendered in glass crystals rise through the composition like early structures forming within a cosmic landscape.
Suspended circular elements appear throughout the surface in rich tones of oxblood, amber, and deep copper. These forms evoke celestial bodies, molten matter, or seeds of formation drifting through an elemental field.
The MicroCristallo Fusione composition is created using finely macerated Murano glass crystals fused within a crystalline resin matrix. These glass elements capture and refract light across the surface, producing subtle shifts of depth and luminosity as the viewer moves through the space.
The work is constructed on a reclaimed beech wood panel covered in biodegradable jute, combining traditional materials with contemporary glass techniques.
