“Mediterranean Halo” is a one-of-a-kind circular mirror handcrafted in Rome by KalaRara Roma. Created using the studio’s MicroCristallo Fusione™ technique, the piece combines finely macerated Murano glass crystals with a crystalline matrix to produce a surface of remarkable depth, luminosity, and subtle optical movement.
Radiating outward from the mirror’s center, layered tones of cobalt, turquoise, and aquamarine evoke the shifting colors of Mediterranean waters. Toward the outer perimeter, the composition transitions into a luminous halo of golden glass crystals that captures and reflects ambient light, creating an atmospheric field around the mirror.
The result is a work that reads simultaneously as mirror and sculptural wall object. Light interacts continuously with the crystalline surface, causing the colors and textures to shift subtly throughout the day.
