“IN THE GATHERING PLACE” is a one-of-a-kind circular wall artwork handcrafted in Rome using KalaRara’s MicroCristallo Fusione™ technique. The composition explores density, adjacency, and tonal convergence through layered mineral glass elements.
Created on a foundation of reclaimed beechwood, the 85 cm diameter panel is built through the deliberate hand placement of glass crystals and fragments, permanently secured within a crystal-clear resin matrix. The surface possesses depth and subtle relief, shifting in intensity depending on the surrounding light.
The palette is grounded and atmospheric — topaz, oxblood, dark brown, ruby red, petroleum, and black — forming a concentrated field of color that feels both elemental and architectural. Rather than diffused abstraction, the composition suggests compression and proximity — a visual “gathering” within a circular boundary.
The result is a sculptural wall object that operates through texture, saturation, and restraint.
Handcrafted in Rome, Italy.
