Kalara Roma is an independent Italian artisan atelier creating one-of-a-kind functional art furniture and collectible design objects. Each table, mirror, and architectural artwork is individually composed by hand in Rome and fabricated exclusively within our studio.

Through our proprietary MicroCristallo Fusione™ technique, Murano glass is transformed into crystalline fragments and arranged in meticulous micro-mosaic compositions before being permanently fused into a transparent structural matrix. The result is a luminous composite surface where light, depth, and architecture converge.

Rooted in contemporary Italian design and traditional craftsmanship, our works exist at the intersection of fine art and high-end interior design. We do not produce in series. Every piece is singular.

MicroCristallo Fusione™

A Proprietary Artisan Process

At the core of our practice is MicroCristallo Fusione™, a proprietary technique developed within our Roman atelier.

Murano glass is reduced into crystalline fragments and arranged entirely by

hand in micro-mosaic configurations. Once composed, the surface is

permanently fused within a transparent structural matrix, forming a luminous

composite material in which texture and depth are embedded into

architecture.

This method transforms traditional glass craftsmanship into sculptural

furniture surfaces — uniting fine art and functional design.

Each composition is manual. No two works are ever identical.
